QUICK CONFIGURATION GUIDE
DT-101B/102B
1. INTRODUCTION
The
DT-101B/102B
modules (single/dual) are
COFDM
modulators
compatible with
DVB-T
standards. The
DT-101B
module has an
ASI-TS
input and the
DT-102B
module has two
ASI-TS
inputs. Both them have an
RF
output in the
UHF
band (from 170 to 650 MHz in the
V
-option).
The
DT-101B
module generates a
DVB-T
output from an
ASI –
Transport Stream
input. The output signal has excellent power and quality
levels so that it can withstand significant degradation through wiring,
splitters, amplifiers, etc.
The
DT-102B
has the functionality of two
DT-101B
units and
includes two
ASI-Transport Stream
inputs and one single output with two
DVB-T
combined channels. Its internal combiner delivers high
C/N
ratio.
Note that when there is a double module (
DT-102B
), each single
element will be independent and will have its own configuration.
Among the practical applications of this module are the possibility to
choose the channel frequency and the output level, to remove video, audio
or data services from the original signal, the restoration of the quality of a
weak signal or the possibility to move
DVB-T
channels from one frequency
to another, to avoid degradation of the signal or overlapping on other
channels.
After going through this process, the signal of the
DVB-T
module can
be inserted into a television distribution network, with the advantages of
robustness and high quality offered by the digital technology.
