Ego 10
Remove the cushion or any other soft or rigid supports from the seat and from the backrest.
Raise the footplate (this operation is not necessary if the wheelchair is equipped with an
automatic closure footplate).
With both hands, pull the seat canvas up as shown in the picture aside.
With one hand, take hold on the front frame (right or left) on the wheelchair and with your other
hand the string D.
Keeping your hand on the front frame, pull the string D for a little stretch.
Now, we suggest pulling the seat canvas up in order to avoid interference with the folding axis.
Now, the two hooks of the hook unit B are released and thus, it is possible to fold the axis (front
and rear) by pulling the string D or by moving the front frames inward until the complete closure
of the seat.
Should the wheelchair be equipped with double footplate or flip-up footplate,
fully raise it before folding the wheelchair (this operation is not necessary if the
wheelchair is equipped with an automatic closure footplate).
If you neglect this procedure, you may cause damage to the frame and/or other parts
of the wheelchair. Rehateam s.r.l. is in no way responsible for any damage due to
neglecting such procedure.
Closing the backrest
While folding/unfolding the backrest down, take care not to squeeze your fingers
between the backrest tube and the side guard.
Remove the cushion or any other
soft or rigid supports from the seat.
With one finger, pull up the pin P
and fold the backrest down taking
hold of it on its handle grip.
The two tubes are independent;
therefore, you have to carry out
the same operation on both other
backrest tubes individually.
Should the wheelchair be equipped with tubular armrests, it may be necessary to turn
them away or to remove them.
Complete closure of the wheelchair
You can close the wheelchair completely by folding both the seat and the backrest.
The two movements are independent and do not interfere to one another, therefore, it is possible to
fold the seat first and then the backrest or the other way round.
