This symbol reminds to remove clips before shredding. Technique can be
damaged.
Safety and basic operation notes:
1.
Keep all loose articles of clothing, ties, jewelry, hair or other items away from the feed
opening to prevent injury.
2. Keep in off position when the shredder is not in use for prolonged periods of time.
3.
Remove all paper clips in general and staples bigger than DIN 24 / 6 from paper before
shredding. The Piranha will cut staples; however, it is not recommended.
4.
Do not place hands or
fi
ngers into the shredder throat as serious injury could result.
5.
When manually changing feed direction, pause in the off position long enough for the
motor to stop.
6.
Do not use shredder above its maximum capacity or materials of metal or active glue.
7.
Continuous shredding of paper should not exceed 2 minutes. If continuous use is
required at the maximum sheet capacity (2 sheets) it is recommend that shredding
time should be 2 minutes on and 40 minutes off allowing proper cooling of motor.
8.
Always turn off or unplug the shredder prior to moving, clearing or emptying the waste-
basket.
9. Empty wastebasket frequently.
10. The socket outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
