5.4 Potential equalization cable
– Connection
For metal housings in potentially explosive areas, a potential equalization of at least
4 mm² is required.

5.5 Bus address
Each PROFIBUS slave must have a unique address for communication, i.e. each
adjusted address may be assigned only once in the PROFIBUS. Depending upon
type of device the address is already pre-adjusted fixed and is noted on the
nameplate.
If the address is not pre-adjusted by the device, the address must be assigned via the
PROFIBUS. If this option is supported by the measuring system, this is noted on the
nameplate with
“Set Slave Address (via Bus)”. In this case in general the address 3 is
pre-adjusted when the device is delivered. The procedure for addressing over the
PROFIBUS is described in the following.
