9. SECURITy TIPS
l
Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security
l
Never run pump dry
l
Pumping inflammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids is prohibited
l
Pay attention to the medium max. 40°C
l
Any altering of the product itself or changing of the components is forbidden.
l
With longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clear water, dry and store it at room tempe-
rature
l
Do not connect the pump to any AC voltage power directly, it’s ONLY for DC Voltage power.
l
Operate the pump in freshwater or saltwater only (never above 50°C), especially keep it away from
flammable liquids.
l
All solar panels are very sensitive, protect it before all against external mechanical influences (shock, vibration, etc.)
The manufacturer explains:
l
To take over no responsibility in the case of accidents or damages on the basis of carelessness or disregard to the
instructionsin this book.
l
to reject every responsibility for the damages which originate from the improper use of the pump
10. SERVICING
If after some time the pump starts losing power or stops working, please clean up sediment in the pump shell or filter
cribs. Kindly note the pump can be opened by pressing down at the bottom of the filter housing. To clear the impeller,
open the pump housing at the front by sliding up the front plastic cover.
The solar module should only be
cleaned with soft tissue or propriety
glass cleaning solution.
Pull off filter cover as shown
Remove filter and rinse in water
Open impeller cover, then
Rinse all parts thoroughly in water
impeller can be easily removed

8. BATTERy REPLACEmENT
After used for 12 to18 months, the battery have reached it‘s service life, you should replace the battery. Unscrew the
battery cover, replace the battery with a new one.
Please pay attention to limited Warranty: 3 months.
How to replace the battery:
8.1 Remove LED light plug and pump
8.3 Disconnect the connectors, then replace the old battery pack with
plug from solar panel
a new battery pack and join the connectors together
8.2 Remove cover from solar panel
8.4 Secure the cover to solar panel with the 6 screws you removed
above
by unscrewing (6) screws
6. PERFORmANCE
The performance of the pump depends on the orientation of the solar panels toward the sun and the intensity of the
max. Data obtained under optimal conditions. Function in the shade or on cloudy days can not be guaranteed.
In models with battery operation depends on the function of the battery is charged.
l
Press ON/OFF button on back side of the solar panel to turn on the pump. The battery indicator lamp will be on.
With „Press“ is always meant „touching“, because a sensor is used as a „Pushbutton“.
l
Press ON/OFF button on back side of the solar panel to turn off the pump. The battery indicator lamp will be off.
l
The LED light only works, when day goes dark.
l
When battery power is low, the system will automatically shut off the pump to protect the battery. The indicator lamp
will be off in this case. The pump can not work, until the battery is recharged. The recharging time should depend on
sunlight conditions.
l
The charging process will be interrupted as soon as the battery is fully charged to prevent overcharging.
l
The pump will automatically start next morning, when solar panel receives enough sunlight.
NOTE: The battery is supplied charged. If the state of charge, contrary to expectations, not be sufficient to char-
ge the batteries for at least 8 hours to allow sufficient charging of the battery (so damage the battery to avoid
overcharging, the pump must be connected).
7. WARNINGS ON BATTERy
Lithium Ion cells and battery may get hot, explode or ignite and cause serious injury if they are
exposed to abusive conditions, Be sure to follow the safety warnings listed below:
l
Do not install the battry backwards, so the polarity is reversed
l
Do not connect the positive or/and negative terminal or/and the battery to each other with any meta object, such as wire
l
Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protection devices which may cause the
battery to generate heat, explode or ignite if damaged
l
Do not place the battery in or near fire, on stoves or other high temperature locations. Do not place the battery iiin
direct sunlight or use/store the battery inside cars during hot weather. Doing so may cause the battery to generate
heat, explode or ignite
l
It is not advised for children to handle the battery
l
When the battery is worn out, wrap the terminals with adhesive tape or similar materials before disposal
l
Immediately discontinue use of the battery, if there is an unusuak smell, a change of color or shape, or if it appears
abnormal in any other way
l
Do not place the battery in microwave ovens, high pressure containers or on cookware facilities
l
In the event of the battery is leaking and fluid gets into your eye, do not rub the eye, rinse well with water and imme-
diately seek medical advice. If left untreated, the battery fluid could cause serious injury to the eye
11. GUARANTEE REGULATIONS
For all manufacturer defects and material defects we grant the legal guarantee time (new and unused product). In
such cases
we take over the exchange or the repair of the pump. Forwarding expenses are not carried by us.
The guarantee is not valid with:
l
Material wear (sealing rings, impeller wheels, impeller chambers)
l
Unjustified interventions or changes in the pump
l
Damages by selffault
l
Improper servicing and improper use
l
DRY RUN (Also partially!) of the pump
Moreover, we give no damage compensation for secondary damages!
