11. SecuriTY TiPS
l
Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security
l
Never run pump dry
l
Pumping infl ammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids is prohibited
l
Pay attention to the medium max. 40°C
l
Any altering of the product itself or changing of the components is forbidden.
l
With longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clear water, dry and store it at room temperature
l
Do not connect the pump to any AC voltage power directly, it’s ONLY for DC Voltage power.
l
Operate the pump in freshwater or saltwater only (never above 50°C), especially keep it away from fl ammable
liquids.
l
All solar panels are very sensitive, protect it before all against external mechanical infl uences (shock, vibration, etc.)
The manufacturer explains:
l
To take over no responsibility in the case of accidents or damages on the basis of carelessness or disregard to
the instructionsin this book.
l
To reject every responsibility for the damages which originate from the improper use of the pump.
10.1. The following controls should be carried out regularly:
l
Cleanness of the medium (no mud, see technical data)
l
Moreover, the pump should be emptied with danger of frost, be washed out with clear water and stored dry.
7. PerFormance oF The PumP
The performance of the pump depends on the orientation of the solar panels towards the sun and their intensity. The
max. Performance is achieved under optimum conditions. A function in the shade or under cloudy skies can not be
guaranteed. The solar pond kits are designed primarily for use in the summer months. However, the solar panel power
should be enough even on days in spring and autumn with excellent sunlight to operate. However, this can not be gua-
ranteed. For models with battery operation the function of the solar pond sets the charge state of the battery depends.
Depending on the pump version allows you to customize the delivery. If a controller is available at the pump, as in the
horizontal position is the max. achieved delivery. In a vertical position only little or no water is pumped. This model sets
the fl ow rate at the control panel of the battery case.
8. BaTTerY inFormaTion
After 12 to 18 months, you should replace the battery. For this purpose unscrew the battery cover and replace the
battery with a new (replacement batteries available on request). Please note the limited implied warranty of 6 months.
Tools needed:
Medium sized Philips head screwdriver.
1. Remove the srews from battery box
2. Remove the lid and control panel from the battery box slightly.
3. Disconnect the old battery from the control panel and remove it from the
housing. Insert the new battery.
4. Carry out the assembly in reverse order.
imPorTanT! it must be ensured that the battery cover is properly
tightened and watertight.
With repeated charge and discharge cycles Lead-Acid and NiMh battery
packs are less effi cient (memory effect). This effect is much less pronounced,
but still present in small mass in the Li-ion batteries used.
Through very short and frequent loading operations and many
other operational infl uences batteries can age prematurely strong.
The batteries are therefore subject to a consumable and wearing
part of a shortened warranty of 6 months.
If you fi nd that the battery will be less effi cient, the battery needs
to be fully charged. These allow the unit for 2 to 3 days (pump should
not be connected) standing in the sun in order to
allow a maximum charge the battery or use a suitable external
charger. We recommend to occasionally repeat this procedure to extend the battery life.
If after this recharging the battery still does not meet expectations, you should replace the batteries.
nOTe: The battery is supplied charged. if the state of charge, contrary to expectations, not be suffi cient to
charge the batteries for at least 8 hours to allow suffi cient charging of the battery (so damage the battery to
avoid overcharging, the pump must be connected).
9. WarninGS on BaTTerY
lithium ion cells and battery may get hot, explode or ignite and cause serious injury if they are expo-
sed to abusive conditions, Be sure to follow the safety warnings listed below:
l
Do not install the battery backwards, so the polarity is reversed
l
Do not connect the positive or/and negative terminal or/and the battery to each other with any meta object, such as wire
l
Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protection devices which may cause the
battery to generate heat, explode or ignite if damaged
l
Do not place the battery in or near fi re, on stoves or other high temperature locations. Do not place the battery iiin
direct sunlight or use/store the battery inside cars during hot weather. Doing so may cause the battery to generate
heat, explode or ignite
l
It is not advised for children to handle the battery
l
When the battery is worn out, wrap the terminals with adhesive tape or similar materials before disposal
l
Immediately discontinue use of the battery, if there is an unusuak smell, a change of color or shape, or if it appears
abnormal in any other way
l
Do not place the battery in microwave ovens, high pressure containers or on cookware facilities
l
In the event of the battery is leaking and fl uid gets into your eye, do not rub the eye, rinse well with water and imme-
diately seek medical advice. If left untreated, the battery fl uid could cause serious injury to the eye
10. SerVicinG
If after some time the pump starts losing power or stops working, please clean up sediment in the pump shell or fi lter
cribs. Kindly note the pump can be opened by pressing down at the bottom of the fi lter housing. To clear the impeller,
open the pump housing at the front by sliding up the front plastic cover.
Pull off fi lter cover as shown
Remove fi lter and rinse in water
The solar module should only be
cleaned with soft tissue or propriety
glass cleaning solution.
Open impeller cover, then
Rinse all parts thoroughly in water
impeller can be easily removed
6.2 Operation from remote control
imPorTanT!
You have to press the POWER button in battery
box to switch on battery system fi rst, then you
can select function by pressing button on the
remote control.
l
(ON):
The Pump will be constantly on until battery runs out of all power.
l
(2):
The pump will stay on for 2 hours an then switch off for 22 hours and will repeat this timing set every day at the
same time. For example: if you want to turn on every day at 5pm, you need to turn on the pump to 2 hours timer at
5pm. Pump will turn on every day at 5pm and turns off at 7pm.
l
(3):
The pump will stay on for 3 hours an then switch off for 21 hours and will repeat this timing set every day at the
same time. For example: if you want to turn on every day at 5pm, you need to turn on the pump to 3 hours timer at
5pm. Pump will turn on every day at 5pm and turns off at 8pm.
l
(4):
The pump will stay on for 4 hours an then switch off for 20 hours and will repeat this timing set every day at the
same time. For example: if you want to turn on every day at 5pm, you need to turn on the pump to 3 hours timer at
5pm. Pump will turn on every day at 5pm and turns off at 9pm.
