• The appliance starts the toasting. When the
set level of browning is reached, the appliance
switches off automatically. The slide pops up
automatically. The illumination goes out.
WARNING:
A
risk of burning
exists when removing smaller
slices of bread.
NOTE:
• The degree of browning can be set indepen
-
dently on the two control panels.
• For easier removal of the toast, raise the car
-
riage lever slightly as required (lift function).
Special functions
For use of the desired special functions, press the
respective key after pushing the lever down.
NOTE:
The illumination of the keys indicates the function.
Defrosting
For defrosting and subse-
quent toasting of frozen
bread.
Warming
For warming of already
toasted bread.
Stop
For early stop of toasting.
Removable toasting attachment
For the toasting of bread rolls.
• Place the roasting attachment on the roasting
shaft.
WARNING:
• Do not overload the roasting attachment!
• Place a maximum of one roll or a bread of
comparable weight onto one toasting attach-
ment.
• Under
no
circumstances should you spread
fat or better on the bread or roll. Fat may drip
down and catch fire!
Storage
WARNING:
As the housing and the metal parts become hot
during operation, please allow the device to cool
down before putting it away.
• Clean the device as described and allow to dry
completely. We recommend that you keep the
appliance in the original packaging if the appli-
ance will be not used for long periods.
• Always keep the appliance out of the reach of
children in a dry, well ventilated place.
Mains Cable Take-up Device
The mains cable can be wound up on the base.
Cleaning
WARNING:
• Before cleaning, always remove the mains
plug and wait until the device has cooled
down.
• Never immerse the unit into water for cleaning.
Otherwise this might result in an electric shock
or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Housing
Only use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outside
of the unit.
Crumb trays
The crumb trays are at the rear of the unit.
• Pull out the crumb trays.
• Remove the bread crumbs and reinsert the
trays.
