V.3 Slaving filtration to the heat pump:
Pool filtration can be slaved to the heat pump. In this
configuration, the pool water will be filtered continuously until the
temperature set point is reached. This has several advantages:
-
the heat pump will run long enough to heat the pool to
the temperature set point, notably during high demand heating
periods;
-
the pool water will always be agreeable for swimmers at
any time of the day and not just after a filtration period.
To slave filtration to the heat pump, make a connection between
the heat pump (main terminal located inside close to the
regulator) and the timer in the filtration control panel.
The machine terminals 1 and 2 (into which wires 25 and 26 of the
regulator are inserted) must be connected one to the timer input, and one to the contactor input, A1. Wires (1.5mm
2
)
are passed though the cable gland in the machine’s covering panel.
The timer and the control panel will stay in auto mode.
Every 2 hours
, the machine will start up filtration to test the pool water temperature and decide whether or not it
requires heating:
•
if it does, the machine will run until the pool water reaches the temperature set point; once the set point is
reached filtration will either stop if the current time corresponds to a “filtration off” cycle or will remain on if the time
corresponds to a d to be heated, the machine will shut down after 5 minutes; filtration will then either stop if the
time corresponds to a “filtration off” cycle, or will remain on if the time corresponds to a “filtration on” cycle.
Nota bene:
The first temperature sounding will take place 2 hours after slaving the filtration to the heat pump, or 2 hours after the
machine is powered up (unless a normal filtration cycle commences beforehand).
