USING THE LAWNMOWER

Always observe the strictest safety procedures when using the lawnmower.

Carefully read the safety instructions of this manual before using.

Maintain the sharpness of the blade when cutting grass. If the blade has worn

excessively and become pitted and blunt, it should be replaced or sharpened.

When the blade is sharpened the balance of the blade must be maintained.

Blade sharpening should only be undertaken by qualifi ed service personnel. The

sharpness of the blade will directly affect the performance of the lawnmower.

The best results will be achieved if the grass is dry. Wet grass will tend to clog the

blade and the grass collection system. Grass grows at different rates at different

times of the year. Never use the lowest cutting height for the fi rst cut of the season

or in drought conditions. Only about one third of the grass height should be cut. If

the grass to be cut is over 6" (15 cm) tall, use the highest cutting height. Then mow

at a lower setting for the best results.
