1. Remove the oil filler plug.
2. Slowly pour appropriate oil (see above) into
the pump crankcase.
3. Ensure oil level is in the middle of the sight
glass.
To change the oil, accomplish the following:
1. Remove the oil drain plug.
2. Allow the oil to drain completely.
3. Replace the oil drain plug.
4. Refill with the recommended oil to the proper
level (see above).
Regularly inspect the
compressor’s belt to
ensure the proper
tension (Fig. 1).
1. Apply pressure to
the centre portion
of the belt (Fig.
1-1). There should
be approximately 1/2 in. of slack (Fig. 1-2).
1.1 If the belt is too tight (Fig. 1-3), the
motor may become overloaded and will
overheat.
1.2 If the belt is too loose (Fig. 1-4), it will
slip and excessive vibration and wear will
occur.
To replace an old belt or install a new one,
accomplish the following:
1. Disconnect the compressor from its power
supply.
2. Remove the belt guard.
