The high pressure setting applies a small amount of grease. This is
suitable for cold weather or deep penetration applications.
The low pressure setting applies a large amount of grease. This is
suitable for quickly greasing of a part.
1. Push the top of the handle (G) forward to unlock the pressure/volume
lever (F).
a. Pull the lever upward to set the grease gun to deliver low pressure.
b. Push the lever downward to deliver high pressure.
2. Push the handle down to lock the pressure/volume lever in place.
3. The tool is ready.
DURING USE
1. Start operating the grease gun. Grease will begin to flow out from
the coupler.
2. Keep running the gun until a bubble-free, clear stream of grease
flows out.
3. If air bubbles continue to appear in the grease, follow
Priming the
Grease Gun
until the grease flows free of air pockets.
GREASING A GREASE FITTING
1. The tool’s grease coupler (A) has a jaw-type construction. The
coupler jaws will snap on to a grease fitting and maintain a tight fit.
2. To connect the coupler to the grease fitting, press the coupler
straight onto the grease fitting to form a snug fit (Fig. 2-1).
3. Start operating the grease gun with the coupler as square to the
grease fitting as possible.
4. Once greasing is completed,
slightly tilt the coupler, twist and
pull back (Fig. 2-2). The tilt and
twist action will allow easy removal
of the coupler from the grease
fitting.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient,
easier to control and will have fewer problems.
