REPLACING A CIRCUIT BREAKER
Each circuit breaker is bolted to two bars, one connected to the
battery wire, the other to the winch wire. Ensure each circuit breaker
is the same type and resistance.
1.
Disconnect the battery wire from the battery.
2. Undo both nuts on the circuit breaker terminals. Discard the
damaged circuit breaker.
3. Insert the circuit breaker terminals through the holes in the bars.
The copper terminal goes through the bar to the battery.
4. Twist the nuts onto the terminals and tighten.
5. The circuit breaker is ready for use.
CLEANING
Clean the external surfaces with cloth after each use. A soft
toothbrush may be used in hard to reach places.
SYNTHETIC ROPE CLEANING
NOTICE! Do not use a washing machine to clean the rope. This can
damage the strands and tangle the rope, making it unusable.
A synthetic rope will accumulate debris over time. This debris can act
as an abrasive on the rope and damage it.
Spread the rope out on a clean surface and spray it clean with a
garden hose. Do not use a pressure hose as it can damage the strands
and the rope will be unusable.
A thorough cleaning requires dipping a section of rope in soapy
water. Hold a section and press it together to spread the strands and
swish the rope around. This will dislodge debris deep in the rope.
Repeat with a new section until the entire rope is clean. Leave the
rope out to dry before rewinding on the winch.
LUBRICATION
The winch is permanently lubricated and does not require additional
lubrication. The exception is if the winch is submerged in water. Open
the housing, dry and have a qualified technician re-lubricate the winch.
