The fi lter insert holder, the
glass jug and the hotplate
become hot during opera-
tion and may cause burns if
touched. The hotplate will re-
main hot for some time after
switching off.

Only hold the glass jug by
the handle.

Do not touch the hotplate
when it is hot.

Do not hold the bottom of
the fi lter insert holder.
Risk of scalding!
Hot water will fl ow from the
water outlet during the des-
caling process. Contact with
this water can cause scalding.

the fi lter insert holder.
Regular descaling will prolong the
life of the appliance, ensure that it
works correctly, and save energy.
How often you need to descale
the appliance will depend on your
water hardness. More or less
scale will form depending on how
hard your water is.
You will need a full water tank plus
– 2 to 3 tablespoons of citric acid
solution
– or descaling solution as in-
structed by the manufacturer.
1. Pour the descaling liquid into
the water tank and close the
water tank lid.
2. Percolate the descaling liquid.

coffee“ on page GB-16, steps 4
to 7)
3. Pour the descaling liquid away
after it has run through.
4. Percolate the maximum water
quantity 3 times to rinse. The
coffee machine will then be
ready for use again.
