7. Loosen the securement knob on the rear of the lock-down

arm and slide the arm down over the wheelchair armrests
with enough pressure to hold the wheelchair in place.
Tighten the securement knob to lock the arm in place.
See figure 8.

WARNING! Ensure that the lock-down arm

is adjusted so that it only applies the

necessary amount of pressure needed to

secure the wheelchair. Applying too much

pressure to the wheelchair may result in

product damage.

NOTE: You may need to raise and lower the lift plat-
form a few times before achieving the proper amount of
pressure needed for secure transport. Once the proper
pressure is obtained, keep the lock-down arm set to this
height for continued use.

NOTE: Pay attention to the path of the lift platform
during operation. Make sure the lift does not rub against
or interfere with the vehicle in any way. If you notice
any contact between the lift platform and the vehicle,
stop lift operation immediately and contact your
authorized Pride Provider for assistance.

Follow these steps to remove the wheelchair from the lift:
1. Lower the platform to the ground.
2

Unlock the wheelchair park brakes, and roll the wheel-
chair off of the platform.

3. Pivot the platform to a vertical position, then raise the lift

until the platform is secured in the stowed position by the
locking bracket. See figure 9.

4. Remove the key from the lift system when it is not in use.

MANUAL POWER TOTE P-100 OPERATION

The lift system is equipped with a manual crank that serves as
backup in the event of a power failure. Using the supplied
tool, rotate the manual crank (located on top of the motor
housing) clockwise or counterclockwise to move the plat-
form up or down. See figure 9.
