Monitor Placement and Acoustic Space Settings

To compensate for this phenomenon, every PreSonus studio
monitorisequippedwithanAcousticSpacecontrolthatcuts
all frequencies below 800 Hz by aspecified amount:
• IfyourErisXTstudiomonitorsareclosetothecornersof
theroom,startbysettingtheAcousticSpaceswitchto-4
dB.This will providethe most bass attenuation.
• When Eris XT studio monitors areplaced closer to the
backwall,settheAcousticspaceswitchto-2dB.
• Ifyourmixenvironmentaffordsenoughspaceforyourstudiomonitors
to be placed away from the room’s boundaries, leave the Acoustic
Spaceswitchat0dBasnobassattenuationshouldbenecessary.
