3.2.
Step 2a
–
Installing with an anchoring system (optional)
An anchoring system can be installed to prevent problems should the water table temporarily and
exceptionally rise above the base of the tank. This option is strongly recommended, but is limited as a
preventive measure. The water table level should never rise above the first third of the
tank’s height.
•
Level and compact the material used for
the base.
•
Put the concrete counterweight in place
(not included). See table below for
required weight.
•
Add a 20 cm (8") layer of backfill material.
•
Level and compact the backfill material.
•
Manoeuvre the tank using the rope on top.
•
Put the tank in place.
•
Install the retainer straps as shown (not
included).

Step 2b

Bedding preparation and tank placing

Level and compact the material used for the
base.
•
Handle the tank using the rope on the top.
•
Put the tank in place.

Step 3

Connecting the tank
•
Hook up the plumbing connections at the
inlet of the tank while filling the tank with
water.
•
MBBR, pumping station and equalization
tanks must be ventilated using a pipe that is
at least 100 mm (4") in diameter or that is
connected to the dwelling’s ventilation pipe.
