FAULT-FINDING
The EH1668 has an overheat protection switch, which disconnects the power if the
element gets too hot. The usual reason for this is because the air-flow has been
obstructed, or the grilles have been blocked. If the heater ceases to operate, leave
it for 20 minutes to cool down, then check that the grilles are not being obstructed.
If there appears to be excessive dust or dirt build up on the air filter refer to
maintenance section above on how to clean.
Reconnect to the mains supply and operate as per the user instructions for the LO
heat setting. If the fan operates, then it is safe to select the high heat or ECO setting.
If the fan does not operate, or overheat protection switch operates again, contact
an authorised service agent for repair.
The EH1668 has an additional tilt switch to prevent the unit being powered up in
any other position than upright. If the unit does not operate ensure it is placed on a
firm level surface and is not tilted in any way.
