Operation

attempt to disable any safety feature.

place any body part or foreign object into the drive.

operate the machine if any part of your body becomes fatigued.

operate the machine if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or
medications that can make you less alert or affect your judgment.
Operating Modes:
The Quantum XT machine can be operated in one of three modes: Manual Mode, Manual
Feed-to-Length Mode (FTL) and Auto Feed-to-Length Mode (A-FTL). These modes share
certain features which are detailed below. To switch between modes, press the Operating
Mode Control Button until the desired mode is selected.
Manual Mode:
This setting allows the operator to dispense material using the foot pedal only. The length
setting cannot be adjusted in Manual Mode. Instead the foot pedal is used to determine the
length - the longer the foot pedal is held down, the greater the length of packaging material
produced. The speed setting can be adjusted to suit the user.
