the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken
to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned

2. Safety Instructions
Outdoor use only.
Always disconnect mains power when the device is not in use or when
servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Handle the power
cord by the plug only.
Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above,
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
Class 2: this device is designed with double insulation.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an
authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
Do not use near inflammable products or in explosive atmospheres.
Heat can cause fire to inflammable products even when they are not in
sight. Only use in properly ventilated areas.
Risk of electroshock when opening the cover. Touching live wires can
cause life-threatening electroshocks. Do not disassemble or open the
housing yourself. Have the device repaired by qualified personnel.
Device heats up during use. Never touch the nozzle or heat shield
while using the device. Let the device cool down for 30 minutes. Some
parts of the device get really hot, even after a short use.
Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and dripping
liquids.
Electrical Safety
• Never modify the plug or power cord in any way. Do not use adapters with earthed
devices.
• Avoid any body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators,
cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body
is earthed or grounded.
• If use of the device in humid locations is unavoidable, connect the device to a power
supply protected by an RCD (Residual Current Differential) device.
Personal Safety
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the
device. Do not use the device when you are tired or under influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication.
• Avoid unintentional starting. Make sure the switch is on the off position before
plugging the device into the mains and/or fitting the batteries, picking it up or
carrying it. Do not carry the device with your finger on the on-off switch. Do not plug
in the device with the switch in the on position.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper position and balance at all times.
• Dress in a suitable manner. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts.
• Never aim the device directly at humans or animals.
• Do not use the device as a heat source in your house or for melting ice and snow or
for any other use than intended.
The Device
• Do not force the device. Use the correct device for your application.
• Do not use the device if the switch does not make it possible to change from the
operating condition to stop and vice versa. Any device which cannot be controlled by
the switch is dangerous and should be repaired.
• If the device is running erratically or something unusual occurs during use,
immediately switch off the device and unplug from the mains. Inspect the device
before using it again. Repair must only be carried out by a qualified technician.
• Disconnect the power cord before any adjustment, changing an accessory or before
storing the device.
• Keep an idle device out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the device or these instructions to operate it.
• Maintain the device. Check that there is no misalignment or obstruction of the
moving or broken parts, or any other condition that could affect the operation of the
device. In the event of damage, have the device repaired before using it.
3. General Guidelines
Keep this device away from dust and extreme
temperatures.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when
operating the device.
