ERROR CODES

During parameter entry, mistakes may be made. The

DIGIMAX

monitors the input

values, and if the value is proper for the current parameter or mode of operation, the value

will be accepted and the parameter table changed. VALUES MAY NOT BE IMPLEMENTED

IMMEDIATELY IF TO DO SO WOULD UPSET THE CURRENT OPERATING SITUATION.

The

DIGIMAX

will not put into effect immediately parameters which will radically alter the

current operation, such as changing the PPR rate (parameter #5) while the motor is running.

A stop cycle must be concluded before some parameters will become effective.

NOTE:

WHILE THE

DIGIMAX

IS DEALING WITH AN ERROR CONDITION, THE

ONLY FUNCTION WHICH WILL OPERATE IS EMERGENCY STOP! ERROR MES-

SAGES SHOULD BE CLEARED IMMEDIATELY IF THE

DIGIMAX

IS IN OPERA-

TION. ERROR MESSAGES WILL AUTOMATICALLY TIME OUT IN SIX SECONDS.

A table of error codes is presented above and explanations follow. Some of these

codes apply to specific parameters, and others are general. Section 3 gives some of the error

codes with illegal values in parameter entries.

ERROR CODE 01 -- SPEED GREATER THAN PARAMETER P-2

SPEED GREATER THAN PARAMETER P-2

This error comes up in the MASTER mode when a new speed command is entered.

The speed entered is greater than the P-2 parameter. Press ENTER to clear the error code

and then reenter the speed command. If this speed is necessary, parameter #2 may have

to be changed. Make sure it is within the speed range of the motor.
