TO USE

Refer to Figure 2

     WARNING

Make sure all guards on the table saw are in place. 
For clarity the saw blade guard is not shown in 
the illustrations.

NOTE: 

The taper jig is marked and can be set in degrees.  

For your reference:
1"/foot = 4.8 degrees
2"/foot = 9.5 degrees
3"/foot = 14.0 degrees.

NOTE: 

Plan your project before setting up the taper jig.

If you know the required angle of cut for 
your project:

 

-

Loosen the wing knob, place the taper jig in the 
correct angle and tighten the wing knob to lock 
the jig.

Place the taper jig against the table saw fence with 
the workpiece against the work stop.

 

-

Adjust the fence to the width of the workpiece 
and align the blade with the starting mark on 
your workpiece.

If you DO NOT know the required angle of cut for 
your project:

Mark the full taper on your workpiece.

Place the taper jig against the table saw fence and 
loosen the wing knob.

Place the marked workpiece against the jig and 
measure the starting and end points, both should 
measure the same distance from the table saw 
fence, see Figure 3. Tighten the wing knob to lock 
the jig.

•  Before starting the cut, make sure the blade will clear the 

work stop.

•  Turn the table saw on and guide the workpiece through 

the saw blade using the knob. 

     WARNING

If needed use a push block, DO NOT place the hands 
close to the blade.

MAINTENANCE

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

     WARNING

When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use 
of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product 
damage. To ensure safety and reliability, all repairs should 
be performed by a qualified service technician.

     WARNING

Keep the taper jig dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. 
Always use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake 
fluids, gasoline, petroleum based products or any strong 
solvent to clean the taper jig. Chemicals can damage, 
weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious 
personal injury.
