CUTTING TIPS
WARNING:
If bar and chain become jammed, stop the motor, allow the chain to stop, and disconnect the
plug from the power source before attempting to remove the obstruction. Failure to follow
these steps could result in accidental starting of the lopper and cause serious personal injury.
•
Cut only wood or materials made from wood, do not cut sheet metal, plastics, masonry, or non-wood
building materials.
•
Never allow children to operate the chain saw.
•
Allow no person to use this chain saw who has not read this Operators Manual or received adequate
instructions for the safe and proper use of this chain.
•
Always cut with both feet on solid ground to prevent being pulled off balance.
•
Do not cut above chest height, as a saw held higher is difficult to control against kickback forces.
•
Do not fell trees near electrical wires or buildings.
•
Press the lock-off button and squeeze the trigger to start the chain saw. Let the chain reach the full
speed before beginning the cut.
•
Begin cutting by lightly pressing the guide bar against the wood. Use only light pressure, letting the
saw do the work.
•
Maintain a steady speed throughout the cut, releasing pressure just before the end of the cut.
•
Release the trigger as soon as the cut is completed, allowing the chain to stop.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
In order to avoid personal injury and the risk of fire and electric shock, remove the battery
pack before adjusting, inspecting, or cleaning the chain saw.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts could create a
hazard or cause product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various
types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean clothes to remove dirt, dust, oil,
grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc.,
come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic, which
could result in serious personal injury.
