No special qualifi cation is required for use of the unit
except for detailed direction by a professional.
Only persons above 18 years of age are allowed to
work with the unit. Exempted from the provision is the
use of the juvenile trainees if they work in the course of
their professional training with an aim to obtain the skill
under a trainer supervision.
Use of the unit requires adequate lesson by
a professional or the use of the manual only.
Special training is not required.
For a prolonged shutdown, the saw disc and the
cradle spring are recommended to be wiped with an
oil-soaked cloth to protect them from corrosion. Cover
the saw with a tarpaulin if it stands outdoors or at
unprotected places. The motor and the switch should
be primarily protected against water.
Prior to the transport, disconnect the saw from
electricity.
Push the rocker to the saw blade and secure it using
latch D (Picture 4). Once the saw is moved, hold the
machine holder by both hands, place one of your
legs on the machine axis and tilt the machine slightly
towards you. In this position, you can easily transport
the saw.

Apply the fi rst aid adequate to the injury and get
qualifi ed medical assistance as quickly as possible.
Protect the injured person from more accidents and
calm him/her down.
For the sake of eventual accident, in accordance
with DIN 13164, a workplace has to be fi tted with
a fi rst-aid kit. It is essential to replace any used
material in the fi rst-aid kit immediately after it has
been used. If you seek help, state the following
pieces of information:
1. Accident site
2. Accident type
3. Number of injured persons
4. Injury type(s)
Disposal instructions are given by pictographs on the
unit or packaging. For meaning of individual symbols
refer to chapter “Symbols on Unit”.
The operator shall read the instruction manual carefully
before using the unit.

Operator Requirements
•
Ensure that the machine including its
components cannot tilt, fall over or move
uncontrollably during transportation, assembly,
disassembly, disablement or scrapping over the
whole foreseeable service life of the machine.
•
The operator must be informed with regards to
conditions which influence the creation of noise
(e.g. saw blades which have been designed
to reduce noise, care for saw blades and
machinery).
•
Exposure to dust is influenced by the type of
material to be sawn.
The given values are emission values and need not
necessarily also represent safe workplace limits.
Although correlation does exist between emission and
immission levels, it cannot be reliably deduced from
this whether additional safety measures are necessary
or not. Factors which infl uence the immission level
currently existing in the workplace include the
characteristics of the workspace, other sources
of noise, e.g. the number of machines and other
operations being performed nearby. The permitted
workplace values may also vary from country to
country. This information should however enable the
user to make a better assessment of hazards and risks.
