3. Safety and Handling
3.1. General Safety Precautions
Handling the P-CUBE:
Do not drop, disassemble, open, or insert
foreign objects into the unit. Do not cover or obstruct the unit’s
ventilation openings and do not place the unit in a zero-clearance
compartment as it may overheat. Do not expose the unit to dust or
flames.
The unit contains components which can produce arcs or sparks. To
prevent a fire or an explosion, do not place the unit in the same
environment as batteries, flammable items, gasoline-powered
machinery, fuel tanks or components of a fuel system.
Avoiding exposing the unit to water:
Do not use the P-CUBE in rain,
near washbasins or in other wet locations. Take care not to spill any
food or liquid on the P-CUBE. If the unit does get wet, unplug all
cables and turn it off. Allow it to dry thoroughly before turning it on
again and do not attempt to dry the unit with an external heat source
such as a hair dryer. A P-CUBE that has been damaged as a result of
exposure to liquids is not serviceable.
Repairing the Personal Power Pack:
Never attempt to repair the
P-CUBE yourself - the unit does not contain any user-
serviceable parts. If the P-CUBE has been submerged in water,
punctured, or subjected to a severe fall, do not use it until it has been
assesed by a PowerLogic distributor.
