7.4 Sealing Strips for Broom Com-
partment
In order to assure good function of the
sweeper, a perfect condition of the
sealing strips is required, especially in
order to attain the prescribed vacuum
in the broom compartment, a clean
sweeping result and the less possible
wear of the sealing strips (check the
sealing strips of the broom compart-
ment for wearing and damages in
regular intervals).
Replace defective sealing strips.
The ground clearance of the lateral
and rear sealing strips is adjustable
(oblong holes in the sealing strips).
Ground clearance =
sides: approx. 1mm
rear: approx. 4mm.
Proceed to adjustment with the battery
set being mounted.
Height of the front sealing strip (folding
apron) cannot be adjusted. Being
dragged, it has contact with the floor.
7.5 Folding Apron Adjustment
Adjust folding apron
- Turn engine off and pull key
- Disconnect battery plug
- Remove cover (as described in the
paragraph "Mount/Dismount Cylin-
der Broom").
- Remove bolt (Fig. 19/2).
- Modify adjustment by turning the
fork head (Fig. 19/1).
Modify adjustment such
that the cylinder broom
does not retract the sealing
strip of the folding apron
during operation.
