ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Letter references in parenthesis (A) refer to the included Identification Key.
1. The bung nut adapter (H) fits over the octagonal pump inlet. Secure the
adapter to the inlet with the two screws.
2. Wrap the external threads of the suction pipe (I) with sealant tape that is
suitable for fuel and oil products. Wrap tape in a clockwise direction so it will
not unravel. Leave several leading threads unwrapped for easier alignment.
3. Screw the suction pipe into the inlet’s female thread until secure.
4. Attach the nozzle to the hose, again using sealant tape suitable for fuel or oil.
5. Attach the other hose end to the pump outlet (B). Use sealant tape if necessary.
6. Insert the nozzle into the nozzle holder (E) until you are ready to use the pump.
OPERATION
1. Extend the suction pipe to the desired length.
2. Insert the pipe into the container’s opening and screw into place. Tighten
the bung adapter to secure the pump.
3. Remove the nozzle from the nozzle holder and place in an empty container
designed to hold fuel or oil. Make sure the hose will not slip out of the
container when under pressure.
4. Pull the pump lever (A) towards yourself, then push it back to the pump
rapidly. Do this approximately seven times to prime the pump for regular use.
5. Pump at a consistent rate to move the fuel. Liquid will pump from the hose
when the lever is pulled and when it is pushed. Approximately 800 ml will
flow with each complete stroke.
6. Leave the hose in the container for a short time after pumping to allow the
excess fluid to empty from the hose. Secure the nozzle in the nozzle holder
when the task is complete.
7. Secure the pump by pushing the handle all the way towards the pump until
the security latch pokes through the slot in the handle. Slide a padlock
shackle through the latch hole and lock to secure.
