OPERATION
WARNING: Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating
name plate.
WARNING: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before adjusting,
adding accessories, or checking a function on the tool.
TRIGGER SWITCH ACTION
WARNING: Before plugging in the tool, always check to see that the tool is switched off.
Your tool is equipped with a variable speed trigger switch. The tool speed is controlled by the
amount of pressure you apply to the switch trigger.
1. Turn the drill on by depressing the trigger switch.
2. Depressing the switch further will produce more speed and torque.
3. Use the reversing switch (3-FIG 1) to change the direction of rotation of the drill.
Always check the rotation before beginning your work.
KEYLESS CHUCK
WARNING: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before adjusting,
adding accessories, or checking a function on the tool.
Your drill is equipped with a keyless chuck to allow for easy installation and removal of drill bits
and accessory items. Keyless chucks eliminate the need for special tools to loosen or tighten the
chuck jaws. Using the keyless chuck involves manipulating two chuck components: the collar,
a narrow ring located at the base of the chuck and the chuck body, the larger portion where the
drill bit is inserted.
To tighten the chuck, grasp the collar with one hand then rotate the chuck body with the other
hand in a clockwise direction. To loosen the chuck, rotate the chuck body in a counterclockwise
direction while holding the collar in place with the other hand.
To install a drill bit, unplug your drill, and open the chuck jaws to a point where the opening is
just large enough for the bit you intend on using. Point the drill/chuck upwards (to prevent the
bit from falling out) and insert the bit into the chuck the full length of the jaws. Now tighten the
chuck by grasping the collar with one hand and rotate the chuck body clockwise with the other
hand until the chuck is securely holding the bit.
WARNING: Never attempt to operate a bit that is wobbly, unstable, or broken.
