4.
Extend and retract the jacks once the welds cool to ensure it functions
correctly.
OPERATION
NOTICE! Do not use the RV Scissor Jacks to level a trailer or lift the trailer off its
wheels. The jacks are not designed to support the weight of a trailer and may
damage the chassis or door jam alignment.
The RV Scissor jacks are designed to prevent the parked trailer from rocking
back and forth when occupants move around inside.
1.
Park and level the trailer. Chock the tires to prevent the trailer from
rolling.
2. Determine which side is closest to the ground and extend the jacks on
that side first.
3.
Place one or more leveling blocks on the ground beneath the scissor jack.
These are meant to distribute the weight on the jack’s base and slightly
extend the reach for the jack. Do not use too many to increase the jack’s
reach as this may be unstable.
4.
Insert the crank handle’s socket (F) over the handle receiver (D).
5.
Crank clockwise to extend the jack downward. Check the leveling block’s
placement, then continue to crank.
6. Crank one additional turn once the jack contacts the block. The tires
should not rise off the ground.
7.
Repeat with the other jack on the same side, then the jacks on the
opposite side of the trailer.
8. Check all scissor jacks to make sure they do not require additional
tightening.
9. Pack the trailer for travel before retracting the scissor jacks.
10. Place the crank handle’s socket over the handle received and crank
counterclockwise until the scissor jack is fully retracted. Crank an
additional quarter turn to secure it.
11. Store the handle.
