surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the equipment
grounding conductor. If repair or replacement of the electric cord of plug
is necessary, do not connect the equipment grounding conductor to a live
terminal. Check with qualified electrician or service professional if the
grounding instructions are not completely understood. Use only 3-wire
extension cords that have 3-prong grounding plugs and 3-poles
receptacles that accept the tool's plug. Repair or replace damaged or worn
cord immediately.
Cut Off Saw Safety
1. Make sure the cut off wheel is securely mounted as described in the
assembly instructions before connecting the tool to a power supply. Do
not tighten wheel excessively, since this can cause cracks.
2. Check wheel for fissures and cracks, and test for normal operation
prior to use.
3. Use only cut off wheel rated for 4,400 RPM or greater and
manufactured in compliance with ANSI B7.1. Always store wheels in a
dry place with little temperature variation.
4. Always ease the abrasive wheel against the work piece when starting to
cut. A harsh impact can break the wheel.
5. Always press the trigger switch and allow the cut-off wheel to reach
full speed before cutting.
Assembly
Warning: Do not connect saw to power source until assembly is complete.
Failure to comply could result in accidental starting and possible serious
injury.
Cut off wheel removal
1. Be sure the tool is disconnected from the power source.
2. Raise the tool to its full open position, remove nut on wheel guard and
rotate the lower wheel guard downward, exposing the hex head bolt by
rotating it counter clockwise. Remove the hex head bolt, which secures
the abrasive wheel to the wheel arbor.
