Troubleshooting
Caution: If any of the following symptoms appear during use, stop using the
tool immediately, or serious personal injury could occur. Have all repairs
performed by authorized service personnel.
Disconnect tool from air supply when performing any service procedure.
Symptom
1. Air leak near the top
of the tool or in
trigger area.
2. Air leak near the
bottom of the tool.
3. Air leak between
body and cylinder
cap.
4. Tool does not operate
well; cannot drive
fastener, or operates
sluggishly.
5. Tool jams.
Problem
• O-rings in trigger
valve are damaged
• Trigger valve heads
are damaged.
• Trigger valve stem,
seal or o-rings are
damaged
• Loose screws
• Worn or damaged
o-ring or bumper.
• Loose screws
• Worn or damaged
o-ring or seals.
• Inadequate air supply
• Inadequate lubrication
• Worn or damaged
o-rings or seals
• Incorrect or damaged

• Check and replace
o-ring

• Verify adequate air
supply
• Place 2 to 6 drops of
oil into the air inlet
• Replace damaged
internal parts
• Change and use
correct fastener
