Operation
Before operation: inspect hydraulic pipes and hoses and test stopping
device.
Danger! Keep clear of moving parts.
The log splitter has to be operated by one person only. Keep bystan-
ders away.
Two-hand control
Fig. 1 + 2
The log splitter has to be operated by the user with both hands:
•
First push the button (7) with your right hand. Now the electromotor starts run-
ning (no load).
•
Then control the hydraulic control lever (11) with your left hand.
•
When pushing lever and switch, the log pusher (1) will move towards the wed-
ge (3).
•
The log pusher will automatically return to start position when one hand
stops pushing the lever or switch.
•
The shape and position of the wedge (3) help to clamp the log on its place.
Never force the log splitter for more than 5 seconds by keeping pressu-
re on it to split excessively hard wood. Otherwise the hydraulic system
overheats and the machine could be damaged.

Assembly
Mounting the support leg, handle and wheels
• Place the support leg (5) under the work table as shown in figure 1.
• Connect the support leg to the work table with help of the bolts and nuts.
• Mount both wheels (2) onto the shaft (1) using the supplied washer (3)
en locking nut (4)
Bleed screw
Fig. 1
• When the log splitter is not being used, it should be tightened to avoid leakage
of oil.
• Before operating the log splitter, the bleed screw should be loosened by rota-
ting until air can go in and out the oil tank smoothly.
Failure to loosen the bleed screw will keep the sealed air in the hydrau-
lic system being compressed after being decompressed. This can cause
permanent damage to the hydraulic system of the log splitter.
Maximum pressure limiting screw
Fig. 2
The pressure of the hydraulic system is adjusted in the factory by qualified mecha-
nics on 4 tonnes maximum. The maximum pressure limiting screw (15) is sealed
with glue.
Do not adjust the maximum pressure limiting screw. Unauthorised re-
setting can cause serious injury or damage to the machine.
