Erection
Place on a secure, level surface to avoid risk of
falling over during operation.
Do not connect to the mains until the pump is
securely positioned.
Fit a suitable hose to the discharge pipe (2) of the
pump, and secure it with a clip or similar device so
that the connection is watertight and airtight.
In the same way, fit a hose to the pump’s feed pipe
(4), and place filter (if used) at the other end of
this hose, so that impurities are not sucked into
the moving parts of the pump.

Feed pipe must be lower than the pump to
avoid air bubbles forming.

The best performance is obtained by using as
short a feed hose as possible.
•
Place the feed hose intake at least 30
centimetres beneath the surface of the water,
so that air is not sucked into the pump with
the water. At the same time, the feed hose
intake should far enough above the base of the
water container that dirt and impurities are
not sucked into the pump.
The hoses should be tightly secured so that
vibrations from the water pump do not cause them
to move.
Fit a non-return valve to the feed pipe to prevent
run-back when the pump is stopped.
Check max. suction height (for feed pipe) and
lifting height (for output pie) are not exceeded to
ensure correct function.
Check connections are tight.
Check position of output pipe end to prevent
flooding or water damage.
USE
Check connections are tight.
The pump must be primed before use. This is done
by removing the lid of the water filler connector
(3) and filling with water until it overflows.
Replace the lid of the filler connector.
Press the on/off button (6). Water will be sucked in
through the feed pipe and pumped out through
the output pipe. This can take several minutes,
depending on the length of the feed hose and
difference in level between the pump and the feed
hose intake.
The pump can then be left unsupervised.
Disconnect from the mains when not in use.
Transport and storage
Ensure hoses are drained and disconnected before
transporting the pump.
Lift using the handle (1).
Long-term storage:
Drain all water by opening the drain plug (5) on
the side of the pump.
Dry with a soft rag
Store in a clean, dry and frost-free place with good
ventilation.
