CLEAN AIR FILTER

Air Filter Cover

Air Filter

Cleaning the air filter:

A dirty air filter decreases engine perform-

ance and increases fuel consumption and

harmful emissions. Always clean or replace

air filter after every 20 hours of operation or

yearly, whichever comes first.

NOTE:

To avoid damage, do not wash the

paper air filter with water. Do not use pressur-

ized air to clean or dry the air filter. Always re-

place a damaged air filter.

1. Clean the cover and the area around it to

keep debris from falling into the carbure-

tor chamber when the cover is removed.

2. Remove parts as illustrated.

3. Clean the air filter by gently tapping to re-

move dust and debris.

4. Replace parts.

on the muffler and spark arresting screen,

and must be removed to avoid creating a fire

hazard or affecting engine performance.

Replace the spark arresting screen every 50

hours of operation or if any damage or breaks in

the screen are noted.

NOTE:

Do not attempt to clean the spark ar-
