RADIO RECEPTION

Muting during Car Telephone Calls 
 
 

If your car telephone and radio are connected with the proper 
mute line, the audio will be muted and the display will show 

"PHONE"

. During the call, the radio will not accept any 

commands. 

 
 

Recalling the actual Time, City- and State- Code 
 
 

Another function of the RDS system is the ability to display 
current 

TIME

, broadcast 

CITY

, and broadcast 

STATE

. While 

tuned to an RDS station, access the FM menu and press the 
multifunction key "T". If the station is broadcasting the information, 
the Time will be displayed. Press the key again to access CITY 
and a third time for STATE. If the information is not available, "

NO 

TIME

", "

NO CITY

", or ”

NO STATE

” will be displayed. If after eight 

seconds no choice has been made, the radio will return to the 
station recall menu.
