2.1

Check that the screw threads and contact
surfaces (

) for fitting the trailer

hitch are not dirty. Clean them and re-cut the
threads using an M12 x 1.5 tap, or using an
M14 x 1.5 tap on older vehicles, if necessary.

2.2

Fit the trailer hitch and tighten hand-tight at
the left and right using eight new screws (M12
x 1.5 x 100, or M14 x 1.5 x 100 on older
vehicles)
