Placing in service
1. Connect the safety transformer at a location where it is dry and cannot be flooded.
The transformer must have at least 2 m clearance to the edge of the pond.
2. Place the rock lights in the pond or next to the pond.
3. Layout the power cord and connect it to the safety transformer.
Caution!
The rock lights heat up in normal operation. Only touch the hot bulbs on the
stone housing or the screw ring. Never touch the glass pane. There is a danger
of burn injury!
Setup and operation
- Always unplug the power plugs of all devices located in the pond and of the rock
lights before working on the lights!
- The transformer must have at least 2 m clearance to the edge of the pond. Position
the transformer where it cannot be flooded!
Safety Instructions
Electrical connection
- For your own safety, please contact an electrical specialist for questions and
problems.
- Electrical installations for garden ponds and swimming pools must correspond to
the national construction determinations.
- The safety transformer must be supplied via a residual current protective fixture (FI
switch or RCD) with a measured current of not more than 30 mA.
- The rock lights may only be operated with the supplied safety transformer in
accordance with VDE 0570 IE/EN 61558.
- Electrical data of the power supply and that specified on the nameplate on the
safety transformer must agree.
- The installed bulb wattage may not exceed the transformer power as specified on
the nameplate.
- The transformer is designed for outdoor use at an ambient temperature between
-10°C to + 35°C. Do not expose the transformer to direct sunlight.
- The rock lights are designed for use in pond water in a temperature range between
+4°C to +35°C.
- Do not operate the rock lights if the power cord, the safety transformer or the pond
light appear defective!
- Keep the connecting points dry!
- Do not carry or pull the rock lights or the safety transformer by the power cords!
- Never open the housing of the rock lights if there are not specific instructions in
this regard in the operating instructions.
- The rock lights are designed exclusively for operation with 12V low voltage. Life-
threatening danger exists when connecting to 230 V!.
