9.2 Connect the concentrator accessory, equipped with bristly

9.5 Press and hold the steam trigger on the steam hose (7) to
start cleaning.

10.

OUT OF WATER

The lack of water in the boiler is identified by the out-of-water
light coming on (

).

To continue with use, proceed as follows:

• Switch off the boiler switch ( ) .
• Unplug from the mains electricity.
• Wait at least 10 minutes and remove the safety cap, unscre-

wing it without force.

• Leave the appliance to cool for at least 10 minutes.
• Fill the boiler as indicated in Chapter 1.
• Carefully screw the safety cap back on, checking that it is

completely closed.

11. GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Before carrying out any maintenance on the device, always
unplug it from the power mains making sure that the product
has cooled down before proceeding.
To clean the outside of the appliance, only use a damp cloth
and tap water. All accessories can be cleaned using running
water, ensuring they are completely dry before the next use.
Do not use detergents of any type.
After using the brushes, we recommend letting the bristles cool
down in their natural position, in order to avoid any deformation.
Periodically check the status of the coloured washer located
on the connection seals of the extension tubes and the steam

hose.  If necessary, replace with the corresponding spare part,
as described below.

12. KALSTOP

Kalstop is thelimescale product for appliances with boiler for
ironing and steam cleaning.
Regular use of Kalstop, every time the tank is filled with water:
- Extends the life of the appliance.
- Allows emission of a “drier” steam
- Prevents limescale build up.
- Protects the walls of the boiler.
- Contributes to saving energy.

HOW TO USE KALSTOP
12.1 Open the bottle and pour half the contents into the
Vaporetto boiler filled previously with water.
12.2 Proceed with the normal cleaning operations.

ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
Every 2 months, rinse the boiler with tap water: the rinse water
will be brown, indicating that the Kalstop is working correctly.

EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE WITH KALSTOP
When the boiler has heavy limescale build-up, leave just 250
ml of water in the boiler, add 3 doses of Kalstop, pressurize the
boiler and press the steam control button until the steam stops.
Turn off the appliance, wait at least 2h until it is completely cool,
rinse the boiler repeatedly to remove all limescale residue. After
cleaning the boiler, proceed normally.
Kalstop is sold in packages of 20 phials at household appliance
stores, at Polti authorized service centres and at www.polti.com.

13. STORAGE

13.1 Turn off the appliance and disconnect from the mains
electricity.
13.2 Wait for the appliance to cool down completely before
storing it.
13.3 The hoses, brush and flexible hose can be housed on the
body of the appliance, sliding the hook on the floor brush into
the parking system on the appliance (11).
13.4 The extension tubes can be replaced in the special tube
holder compartment (12).
13.5 The small accessories can be placed in the accessories
compartment. To open the compartment, press gently on the
word “PUSH” (near the bottom of the lid), and open it (10).

When the water is particularly hard, use greater concentrations
(up to one phial per litre of water).

- Remove the damaged washer.
- Insert the new washer, attaching it on the

steam nozzle and pushing it into place.

- Lubricate the gasket with silicone grease

or Vaseline, or alternatively with small
quantities of vegetable oils.

WARNING: Steam.
Risk of scalding!

WARNING: Never fill the boiler as soon as the safety cap is
opened.  The boiler  is still  hot, even if  the appliance  is
unplugged. On contact with the hot, empty boiler, cold water
will evaporate producing a spray of steam which could cause
burns.  Only fill the boiler when it is cold and always keep your
face away from the boiler opening when filling.

WARNING: If, while unscrewing, the cap spins freely or if steam
is escaping, immediately stop the operation, ensuring that the
boiler is switched off and the power cable is unplugged from
the mains. Wait for the appliance to cool for at least (2 hours)
and unscrew the cap.  PROTECT YOUR FACE!!!
