• Unscrew the self-refilling tank cap (

7

)

(Fig.1) and fill the tank with about 560 cc
of water by using the filler bottle (

U

) sup-

plied.

• Water by its nature contains magnesium,

mineral salts and other deposits which in
hard water areas can contribute to
limescale build up in the tank. To avoid
these problems, it is necessary to swill out
with tapwater and empty the generator
tank after every 3 or 4 uses.In very hard
water areas we recommend the use of our
KALSTOP FP 2003, a special natural-
base decalcifier which inhibits and breaks
down limescale. This is a  preventive
against limescale build-up and protects
the metal walls of the steam generator
tank. KALSTOP is available from Polti
dealers or by mail-order from your Polti
Service Centre.

• Carefully screw on the sealing cap (

7

) to

hand tight.

• Lift the water container handle (

22

hooking it from its position (Fig. 2) and re-
move the container (

20

) (Fig. 3).

• Turn the container handle (

22

) as shown

in figure 4, so as to remove the “Eco Ac-
tiveFilter” water filter assembly (

23

).

• Fill the water container (

20

) with about 1,2

litres of simple tap water until the MAX
level indicator (

21

) is reached, as in fig. 5.

• Put the filter assembly (

23

) back into place

in the water container (

20

) returning it to

its initial position.

• Replace the water container back into po-

sition.

• Support the handle (

22

) until it hooks into

its place on the water container (

20

).
