• Unscrew the patented safety cap (

) (Fig.1)

and fill the generator with 1,3 litres of water,
using the special anti-drip filler bottle (

U

).

• Water by its nature contains magnesium,

mineral salts and other deposits which in
hard water areas can contribute to
limescale build up in the tank. To avoid
these problems, it is necessary to swill out
with tapwater and empty the generator tank
after every 3 or 4 uses.In very hard water
areas we recommend the use of our
KALSTOP FP 2003, a special natural-base
decalcifier which inhibits and breaks down
limescale. This is a  preventive against
limescale build-up and protects the metal
walls of the steam generator tank.
KALSTOP is available from Polti dealers or
by mail-order from your Polti Service Cen-
tre.

• Carefully screw on the sealing cap (

) to

hand tight.

• Lift the water container handle (

22

) unhook-

ing it from its position (Fig. 2) and remove
the container (

20

) (Fig. 3).

• Turn the container handle (

22

) as shown in

figure 4, so as to remove the “Eco Active-
Filter” water filter assembly (

23

).

• Fill the water container (

20

) with about 1,2

litres of simple tap water until the MAX level
indicator (

21

) is reached, as in fig. 5.

• Put the filter assembly (

23

) back into place

in the water container (

20

) returning it to its

initial position.

• Replace the water container back into posi-

tion.

• Support the handle (

22

) until it hooks into its

place on the water container (

20

).

• Open the flap of the built-in socket (

); fit

the monobloc plug (

) by pushing it, with-

out pressing the button, until you hear the
click of the locking mechanism, then make
sure it is well locked (fig.6).

• To disconnect the monobloc plug (

B2

) from

the appliance, push the button (

B3

) and pull

the monobloc so as to separate it from the
appliance (fig.6a).

• Connect the plug to the mains.

Operation with steam + suction

• Press the main switch (

), the first level of

suction indicators (

) will start to flash.

• Press the water boiler - terracotta/parquet

button (

) once only. 

• The pressure indicator light (

) will flash un-

til the boiler reaches working pressure, then
stay on steadily.  When it does the Va-
poretto Lecoaspira will be ready to generate
steam.

• Press the suction button (

) on the handle

). The suction function will start up at the

minimum speed and the first stage of the in-
dicator lamp set (

) will stop flashing and re-

main on. For correct use of the suction func-
tion read the section “Suction control/
switching off”.

Note: 

The handle (

) has a safety button

) which when set in locked position pre-

vents activation of the delivery of steam. If
the appliance is left temporarily unattended
while it is in an activated condition, please
remember to place the safety button (

the locked position. To resume delivery, re-
turn the button to its initial position.

• You can supply steam by pressing the

) on the handle. At the

same time you can also control suction by
pressing the suction button (

Operation with suction only

• If you wish to use the suction function only,
