RECORDING WITH THE RM-650
1. Turn the speaker volume down, and use an XLR cable to connect the microphone to a preamplifier, mixing
boards, or recorder.
Note
:
Recording directly into a computer requires an XLR-to-USB adapter such as the Polsen XLR-USB-48.
2. Turn the phantom power on.
3. Turn the speaker volume up, and set the input level on the recording device.
For best recording results, point the microphone directly at the sound source.
Vocalists and announcers should be positioned approximately 6 to 12 inches from the microphone. For close
vocal miking, use the included pop filter to prevent vocal pops or plosives.
To attach the pop filter, snap it onto the stem, just below the mic capsule, and make sure it’s directly in front of
the microphone.
