INTRODUCTION

The PS-3085 SH system is a state-of-the art remote car starter representing a breakthrough in vehicle convenience
technology. Designed with OEM integration in mind, it can be customized and used for almost every possible application. By
integrating time-latched and ON/OFF outputs, this Unit can single-handedly control virtually any electrical system in your
vehicle.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

Before beginning the installation, please review the Installation Guide – particularly the wiring diagram and the
programming options.

NOTE:

It is very important that you familiarize yourself with the programming and operation of the PS-3085 SH system,

even if you have already installed a Polarstart system in the past. There are many great new features that may be overlooked

Make sure that the Parking Brake and Door Switch contacts work properly.

x

Always use a Motion Detector when installing this unit on convertible vehicles.

x

Always leave a window open when working on a vehicle.

x

NEVER leave the keys in the car. Leave them on a workbench!

x

If possible, remove the fuse of the courtesy light to prevent battery drain, but BEWARE of coded radios:

make sure you

have the code before removing power to the car

.

x

Inspect the vehicle for any body damage or electrical problem.

x

Make sure that all the switches and controls operate properly.

x

Verify whether the vehicle starts and idles properly.

x

Never install the Control Unit where it could interfere with normal operation or obstruct service technicians.

x

Do not disconnect the battery on vehicles equipped with air bags and anti-theft radios.

x

Always use a grommet when running wires into the Engine compartment; never run wires through bare or sharp metal.

x

Always solder and tape all connections.

x

Never ground the Control Unit to the Steering Column of the vehicle.
