FEATURES AND CONTROLS
Brake Pedal
Depress the brake pedal to slow
or stop the vehicle. Apply the
brakes while starting the engine.
Throttle Pedal
Push the pedal down to increase
engine speed. Spring pressure
returns the pedal to the rest
position when released. Always
check that the throttle pedal
returns normally before starting
the engine. Make sure there's
adequate throttle pedal freeplay.
See page 70
for throttle pedal adjustment procedures.
This vehicle is equipped with a throttle release switch, which is
designed to reduce the risk of a frozen or stuck throttle. If the throttle
cable should stick in an open position when the operator releases the
throttle pedal, engine speed will be limited to idle speed.
The throttle release switch limits engine speed in the event of a throttle
system malfunction. Modifications to the throttle release switch could
result in failure to perform as designed, which could result in an accident.
Do not attempt to modify the throttle control system or replace it with any
after market throttle mechanism. Always ensure that the throttle cable is
installed and properly routed to the throttle control.
