Gearcase Oil
Check and change the gearcase oil at the intervals outlined in the Peri-
odic Maintenance Table beginning on page 82.
POLARIS recommends the use of POLARIS PS-4 PLUS engine oil for
this gearcase. See page 135 for the part numbers of POLARIS products.
NOTICE:
Mixing brands or using non-recommended lubricants could result in
excessive wear to chain, sprockets and bearings. Always use
POLARIS-recommended products for your vehicle.

Gearcase Oil Check
Maintain the oil level in the
safe operating range, between
the upper and lower marks on
the dipstick.
1. Position the vehicle on a
level surface.
2. Remove the dipstick and
wipe it dry with a clean
cloth. Reinstall the dip-
stick.
3. Remove the dipstick and
view the oil level.
4. Add the recommended oil
as needed. Do not overfill.
5. Reinstall the dipstick.
