ENGINE
TRANSMISSION REMOVAL
NOTE: The transmission can be removed separately
from the engine. Follow this procedure if engine
removal is not required.
1.
Clean work area.
2.
Thoroughly clean the ATV engine and chassis.
3.
Disconnect battery cables at battery.
4.
Drain transmission oil.
5.
Remove the following parts:
• Seat
• Left and Right Side Covers
• Rear cab
6.
Remove CVT cover and both clutches (refer to CVT
Chapter 8)
7.
Front prop shaft (4x4 models) (Drive pin out at front
gearcase, pull shaft back, then forward. Refer to Drive
Chapter)
8.
Remove transmission linkage rod (A) and vent hose
(B)
9.
Disconnect gear indicator switch harness (at
transmission)
10. Disconnect speed sensor at transmission (left rear
side).
11. Rear fuel tank bracket.
12. CVT air inlet duct.
13. Support frame under engine with a stable platform
jack.
14. Rear wheels and brake caliper.
