Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
•
Always switch off and disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
•
Warm, soapy water is recommended for cleaning. Cleaning agents may leave harmful residues. DO
NOT wash the base unit, instead wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
•
Periodically remove the curtain, tray and nozzles and rinse in warm soapy water.
•
A POLAR agent or qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.
•
Clean the water filter regularly with a small brush, particularly in hard water areas.
The water filter is located just inside the water inlet at the back of the appliance.
•
If the Ice Maker is to be left unused for longer than 24 hours, loosen the drain screw and drain the
water from the tank.
Automatic Cleaning Function
Your Polar Spray Ice Maker has a Automatic cleaning function.
1.
Add cleaner fluid to water box (remove plastic ice curtain and pour liquid
through metal grill) (Fig 1).
2.
Press the clean button to start the Automatic cleaning cycle - The clean
indicator light will flash
3.
Cleaning will take approximately 30 minutes and can only be stopped by
switching off power to the machine
4.
When cleaning cycle is finished drain water box by removing plug (Fig 2)
5.
Repeat cleaning process without cleaning fluid to rinse
6.
If necessary repeat rinse to remove all cleaning fluid residual
Cleaning the Spray Water System
1.
Remove the plastic curtain and pull out the metal grill (Fig 3).
2.
Take off the spray pipe connection ( the silicone tube ) then take out the spray pipe (Fig 4).
3.
Remove the spray nozzles and the nozzle clamps (Fig 5).
4.
Clean the spray pipe and the nozzles with a soft brush.
