2.2 Connecting to your TiVo®
2.2.1 Setting up the Network Connection
MEDIAGATE T1 communicates with your TiVo® via a Local Area Network (LAN). There are two ways to connect
MEDIAGATE T1 to your TiVo® box: connection via a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Server or Router,
or direct connection using a cross - over LAN cable. You may need to use a USB to Ethernet adapter to connect to
your TiVo® box, which will allow your TiVo® to connect to your network. For information on TiVo® Network Adapters,
please check the TiVo® Store online.
