Enable DMA
To achieve top speeds for reading and writing with your PlexWriter drive, direct
memory access (DMA) must be enabled for the drive. To ensure that DMA is
enabled:
1.
In Windows 95 or 98, click the Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel,
then double-click on System icon, then click on Device Manager tab. You see a
list of devices in your system.

Double-click the CD-ROM icon and choose the PX-W8432T drive by clicking
on it once. Then, click on the Properties button and select the Settings tab. You
see the drive properties for the PlexWriter.
3.
Ensure the DMA box is checked ON, as well as all other check boxes in this
window.
4.
Click on OK button and then click on the Close button to exit System Properties
window.
5.
When prompted if you want to restart you computer now, select yes for this
change to be enabled and saved.
