Compression Options
The ConvertX supports real-time MPEG-4 (ISO) compression in
hardware for incoming video. Although information compressed with
MPEG-4 compression is not editable, and you cannot convert it into
another format, you can view these files. Just capture files with MPEG-4
compression, then view the files using the WinDVD 4 player that’s part
of your ConvertX software bundle.
How much can you fit on a DVD or CD? Storage rates vary based on the
capacity of the disc, frame size and selected resolution. Use the
following table to help you decide what compression and media to use.
