I - GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Plastimo offers a complete range of inflatable lifejackets to suit all types of uses.
These lifejackets have been designed for a people weighing over 40 kg and with a waist
measurement between 60 and 130 cm.
Lifejackets only reduce the risk of drowning; they are not a life-saving guarantee.
II - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
150N lifejacket : To be used for offshore navigation, this enables to wear stormy weather clothing.
Designed for small passengers vessels (refer to applicable rules and standards).
This lifejacket is designed to be donned in an emergency situation (ship abandonment…). It is not
suitable for regular wearing.
Ask the skipper to explain how to use this lifejacket.
Store it away from direct sunlight and in a dry place.
Lifejacket buoyancy is provided by gas. This is not a lifejacket until fully inflated. When inflated, it
will turn most users face up, even unconscious.
Never wear a lifejacket without adjusting the fit.
The performances of your lifejacket can be altered when using some kind of waterproof clothing or
in other circumstances. Do not wear an inflatable lifejacket under any clothing or safety harness.
Do not sit down on the lifejacket. Do not use as a cushion.
1- Inspection before use
Perform a visual inspection prior to using:
- Check the lifejacket is not damaged.
- Make sure the CO
2
cylinder is full and firmly screwed.
- Check the color of the firing indicator.
2 - Donning instructions

Put on the lifejacket. Fasten the buckle. Tighten and adjust the belt.
3 - Inflation
Inflation can be triggered in 2 different ways :
- Manual inflation : pull the activating handle sharply downward.
- Oral inflation : open the top cap and blow in the oral inflation tube. Oral inflation can be used as
a back-up or as an emergency method of inflation.
Warning : Never activate the firing system if the lifejacket is already partially or fully inflated.
4 - Re-arming instructions / Repacking instructions
Rinse the lifejacket with fresh water (especially if it has been used in maritime environment).
Deflate the lifejacket by pushing down the valve located on the top of the tube.
Ensure that your lifejacket is completely dry and deflated. Place your lifejacket on a flat surface.
Before re-arming your lifejacket, clearly identify which firing head is fitted on.
After manual inflation, fold back the firing lever into normal position.
Unscrew the used CO
2
gas bottle. Replace the green locking clip to secure the lever.
Firmly screw on the new CO
2
gas bottle.
Fold and repack the lifejacket in a Plastimo spare bag ref.65954.
After each use dry your lifejacket thoroughly and keep it clean and free from oil and sand. Store it
away from direct sunlight and in a dry place.
