The

Under
the
requirements of Part
68
of FCC rules.
1.
The installer's responsibility
to the
telephone company includes notification of connection
and disconnection of
the device; information to
be provided to telephone company
includes
make. model
number, registration number, and ringer equivalence number.
2.
FCC Regulations
require
that,
if you have trouble using your headset, you must disconnect
it and
determine
if the equipment is malfunctioning. You may not use the equipment
until the problem has
been corrected or until you are sure that the equipment itselt is
not
malfunctioning.
3.
The installer is prohibited from
m
a
k

n
g
direct connections to party
lines and to coin
telephone service (Section
68.2).
4.
For
systems assembled
of
i
nd
i
v
i
d
u
a
l
ly registered terminal equipment and protective
circuitry, the installer connecting such assemblages shall, before such connection is made,
provide the
following information to
the
telephone company for
each line:
a. Information required for compatible operation of
the
equipment with telephone
company
communications
facilities.
b. The
FCC
registration numbers for all equipment
dedicated
to
that
line.
c.
The largest ringer equivalence
to be
presented to that line.
